Chief Nsizwa Mahlangu was born in 1984 on a farm that is now called Witbank Dam Nature Reserve and is owned by the Municipality of Emalahleni. He studied law at the University of Pretoria and specilised in deceased Estates. Chief Nsizwa is also a certified mediator from the mediation academy of South Africa.

In 2006 he took over as the Chief of Witbank based in the township called Hlalanikahle.

He is well known as a chief running a tribal court where he solves civil community disputes through the Mrhetjha Royal House tribal court. He also host a reality show called Ebukhosini showing on Showmax.
